“best place in Ogden...great breakfast buffet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We have stayed here several times when we ski at Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. Easy parking, clean rooms (love the sheets!), nice lobby, convenient business center, and great early breakfast buffet. Before skiing it was so nice to have a freshly made omelet. The exercise room was fantastic! They had 30+ music stations that we worked out to before we hopped into the hot tub.The staff here is so friendly! We had a great time chatting with the bartender during our nightcap. She told us she has been working there for many years--no wonder we felt so comfortable--the staff does too!

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the elevator bank. Some rooms are a full city block from the main lobby.

“Downtown Ogden - Good for business/ski base”

Nice, friendly hotel in Downtown Ogden; close to bars and other amenities.

Stayed approximately five times between July 2010 and August 2011, used once for business meeting.

Meeting went flawlessly, though I was surprised to find a gratuity automatically to my invoice - always happy to leave a gratuitiy, but I would prefer to be given a helpful hint and decide the amount myself!

Rooms feel a little spartan by Marriott standards, but clean and spacious.

Breakfast in the ground-floor restaurant is pleasant (preferable to concierge room) with a chef on hand to whip up a nice, fresh omlette.

I understand buses are available during the winter for transfer to Powder Mountain or Snowbasin - best to check with the hotel, though.

Will stay again for any trips to Ogden area.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at our hotel, your feedback is very important to us! I would like to apologize that any auto-gratuity policies regarding your meeting were not clearly disclosed to you. We offer many features at the Ogden Marriott that make either business or leasure accomodations thorouly enjoyable. Throughout the ski season we do offer round trip shuttle trasnportation to and from both Snowbasin and Powder Mountain for only $10 per passenger, or this can be inclusive in some of the different ski packages that we offer.

“Nice Marriott hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Stayed here with my husband, and 3 kids on our way home to Colorado. Good location downtown. Lots of things nearby. Only one weird thing...someone had ruined our in room breakfast menu, so I called housekeeping for a new one, and they wouldn't give it to me until I gave them the old one. Not sure what they thought I was going to do with it.
Room service breakfast was good, and surprisingly reasonably priced.

Thank you for response regarding your stay with us. Feedback is always appreciated and I am glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us. I am deeply sorry the room service breakfast menu was damaged and there was some misunderstanding in getting it replaced quickly. I do hope to see you back in Ogden again soon. Thank you for staying with us.

“Great Deal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We stayed at the Ogden Marriott over the Christmas break and took advantage of their ski and stay deal where the kids ski for free at Snowbasin. The deal also includes free breakfast for the kids. The property is an older hotel but has been renovated nicely. The rooms are very clean and spacious which worked out for us to be able to lay out all our clothes and equipment. The only complaint I have is the pillows. They had all sorts of pillows on the bed but the big ones were too big and the small ones were too small.

The breakfast was great including a chef making wonderful omlets and waffles. All the people we met from the front counter to the restaurant were friendly, helpful and very accomodating. We ate dinner at the restaurant on New Year's Eve. The food and the service were good even though they seem a bit short staffed.

The hotel is right next to Historic 25th street with a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The Rooster Brewery was great, while the La Ferrovia Italian place was not so great but that's for another review.

We would definetly stay here again if we ski Snowbasin again.
