We stopped in looking for a room because of a flood in our home which caused the furnace to stop working. They were near capasity that night, lots of skiers that were excited about the new snow I am sure. But the front desk staff were like,"Ooh, let us see if we have anything for you, we have one." We were greatful for that and we were willing but the attitude was "You are lucky to be staying with us" Then we realized the reason for the attitude. They were asking 50% more than their normal rate. We have stayed here before on stay-cations, we know their rates. We went elsewhere. Even if it is your last room, do you have to gouge your customers? You have met your margin, you are already in the profit zone.
