This hotel is very conveniently located in the south Salt Lake area--even though it's east of I15, it's right off the belt route (I215), so anyplace we went in the city was easily accessible, with the plus of there being less traffic on the 215 than there is on 15. We stayed two nights here and the service was consistently friendly, helpful, and efficient: from checking in to maid service, the breakfast staff, and even to a maintenance man who happened to be in the hall when I was carrying a suitcase who jumped ahead of me to get the elevator buttons for me! Every member of the staff that we interacted with smiled and was pleasant. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with comfortable beds and pillows, and a decent shower, though the water pressure was a bit low. The tub was plenty clean enough to take a bath in, always a plus for me, as I much prefer a tub bath to a shower, but many hotels don't seem to have a tub that's pristine enough for me to want to sit in. The Continental breakfast was better than some hotels we've been to-though basic, it had enough choices to satisfy all; from hot to cold. The only unpleasant part of our stay was the second night, between 10:40 and 11:00 we heard children running up and down the halls screaming (that high-pitched shrieking that they do when they're really having fun), but as I have no compunction about asking people in public places to observe courtesies, after about 20 minutes of that, I opened my door and said something to the parents. (I suppose I could've called the front desk, but I was waaaayy too tired to think about being relocated to another room at that hour, which is likely what they would have offered me.) We thought it was a real plus that they offered a complimentary dinner buffet as well, but ended up not being able to check it out, as other circumstances got in the way of our being there during the dinner hours of 5-7. I still think it was a good value and a very pleasant stay, and I will definitely choose it again, and recommend it.
