Our family of 4 (two children ages 10 and 12) had a wonderful stay this summer at the Zion Mountain Ranch. I found the location though and internet search and the reviews were spot on. We flew into Las Vegas and drove to the resort through a wonderfully scenic drive. Once at the resort we had an east check-in to a fantastic cabin. The cabin was very spacious, well appointented with very tasteful American Southwest themed art and designs. Our cabin had a nice kitchen with all the normal amenities. The cabin was very clean and had dual zone climate for the two sleeping areas.
The location serves as a perfect base for trips to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon, all of which we did.
The restaurant at the resort was fantastic. There was always a wide variety of dishes from simple to elegant and good choices for kids as well. we never had to wait for a table and the service was consistently good. Each day there were unique specials to try and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The breakfast choices are huge, our family could only finish half of the stack of pancakes we were given.
We also did a horseback riding tour which was very scenic and a fun way to spend an early morning. We did a 3 hour tour and we wished it was 6 hours when we got back. We were also treated one night to the local Bison herd grazing right by the restaurant fence, which was amazing. It was a thrill to see such amazing animals up close.
Our family highly recommends this destination, we're looking forward to a return trip.
