“Good ,friendly place”

WE were supposed to spend a night in Moab but it was overtaken by ATV riders as far as hotel rooms
Owner of one of the hotels in Moab suggested that Monticello might have rooms availlable
It was quite a ride from Moab to Monticello, late night and tired
When we got there ,we met very sweet person she took care of us
We slept in quiet , clean room, waking up fresh
There is a place across the street where you can eat pretty hearty breakfast
Town or village is very quiet, kind of secluded, very rural

Thank you for your nice comments on our motel. It always makes our day when people have a nice stay and then take the time to write about it! Thank you! Our little town is small, and rural, but it is a nice getaway from the craziness of Moab and any other big city. And lets face it, you can't compare the views. Thank you again, and good travels to you!

“It ticked all of our boxes”

By now we are into "Arrive late, leave early mode" as we zig zag across the States. We are looking for location; clean; comfortable; quiet (no drunken parties or screaming kids around the pool) and fits inside our budget. Always ask 2 questions with regards to wifi and laundry facilities. The Monticello ticked all those boxes and what we were learning that the rooms were average American size, but to us, they were spacious and generous which of course raises the bar for the rest of our travel expectations.

We are so glad you found our rooms clean and spacious! We love it when we get to show off the 1950's style motel, which in it's hay day was modern and unique! We would love to have you stay with us again, if you ever get to come to this area and we wish you happy travels!

“Perfectly placed between Moab and Lake Powell”

Having driven from Page throught the awesome Monument Valley, and dawdled for endless photo opportunities we opted to break the journey at Monticello (UT). The owner was extrememly kind and friendly and suggested somewhere to eat and other places to visit. We actually had no problems with the wifi and were able to update family on our progress. The room was spotless and generous in size. (Don't you just love that extra bed to spread your cases on?) Clean bathroom and luxury toiletries were all pluses. We couldn't hold them responsisble for the sudden drop in temperature which brought an unseasonal weather-watch to the area, but we were glad the heater worked well. We are happy to give an unashamed and well-deserved full marks to people that clearly are trying very hard.

Room Tip: Make up your own mins on the rooms. Newer or cheaper?

“Gem of a Hotel”

Got the last room on a late night check in. The room was very clean, spacious and a great bargain. We stayed in a larger room for only $70.00. There was a small fridge in the room. The lady at the front desk was courteous and extremely helpful. She even offered us some popcorn to help tide our hunger over till morning.

Room Tip: The larger room we stayed in was helpful

Thank you for your kind words! I remember the popcorn people! I was glad to do it! I know sometimes all I need at night is something to tide me over. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and your room, and again thank you for taking the time to post for our family motel! It really does mean the world to us!

“Small and older, but clean.”

For my wife, it has to be clean, or I'm in trouble. This was a bargain at $50 a night and much cheaper than Moab. It is an older motel with no breakfast. A good price and well situated to visit multiple national parks. Family owned business.
