“Wow...what a memory maker...”

Without a doubt my wife and I will be heading back to this quaint B&B. The food was among the best we've ever eaten; the service and beyond the mark care for our needs was a wonderful surprise. The Sunday brunch is UNBELIEVABLE. The proximity to Park City is perfect (15 min away) yet you are far enough away that you can have a quite walk in state parks to hear birds, see Deer and not a sound of traffic. Although the food isn't cheep, the quality of what you eat will surprise even the finest of dinners. Don't pass this place up if you are in the vicinity or looking for a great get-a-way. Remember, it's only 15 min from Park City or 20 from Sundance. WHAT A JEM.

“Greatest place to stay and eat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2009

We stayed as a special holiday getaway. We loved our time at the BLue Boar Inn. It is out of the way and very elegant. It is a wonderful getaway and close to the city! It is quiet and romantic and perfect for a special occasion.

“Recharge our batteries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2009

Came up over a long weekend on the recommendation from a friend and couldn't have been happier with our decision. Cozy, relaxing and surprisingly easier to get to Deer Valley from the gondola and Deer Valley's own parking lot.

My favorite was the old Bavarian bar, my wife's was the restaurant. I don't normally writer reviews but our visit to the Blue Boar was that good.

“Excellent, Although Expensive, Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2008

I loved this quaint little place. Gorgeous if somewhat over the top Bavarian decor, but it fits with the local style so it somehow works. Staff was friendly, helpful, and not intrusive during the meal. I had the lobster bisque which was excellent, and then for the main course I had scallops in a pureed cauliflower sauce, and THAT was exquisit! My husband chose the Open Faced Lobster Ravioli and he was practically licking his plate he enjoyed it so much. He also had the French Onion Soup, which I tasted. I very much enjoyed that as well, as it was lightly seasoned with rosemary and the onions were sweetened perfectly. For dessert my party and I shared a few cream puffs, which everyone raved about. This place is perfect for a quiet romantic evening or get away. I would be interested to see what the accomodations are like. One of my new favorite places in Midway!
The restaurant manager, a retired outdoor clothing salesman so he told us, was very kind and went around introducing himself and making sure the guests were taken care of. He gave out long-stemmed roses to a few of the guests who were celebrating special occasions and made sure everyone was having a good time.
Overall, our experience was lovely and I would be glad to come back again, even considering the pricey menu. The food in my opinion is more than worth it!

“Small But Nice Rooms, Excellent Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2007

My husband and I love bed and breakfasts. This one is quite nice. We especially enjoyed the restaurant and the proximity of the inn to the Wasatch Golf Course - so pretty in September for the fall colors. We shared a bottle of wine under the stars on the restaurant's patio which was so romantic. The Sunday brunch, included with Saturday night stay, is excellent! We also had dinner in the restaurant which was quite pricey but elegant and delicious. Compared to other places, for the price, the rooms are smaller but offer nice amenities. In Midway, we like to recommend Johnson Mill for their spacious rooms and gorgeous location. However we'd still recommend the Blue Boar Inn for their fine food and wonderful service.
