I loved this quaint little place. Gorgeous if somewhat over the top Bavarian decor, but it fits with the local style so it somehow works. Staff was friendly, helpful, and not intrusive during the meal. I had the lobster bisque which was excellent, and then for the main course I had scallops in a pureed cauliflower sauce, and THAT was exquisit! My husband chose the Open Faced Lobster Ravioli and he was practically licking his plate he enjoyed it so much. He also had the French Onion Soup, which I tasted. I very much enjoyed that as well, as it was lightly seasoned with rosemary and the onions were sweetened perfectly. For dessert my party and I shared a few cream puffs, which everyone raved about. This place is perfect for a quiet romantic evening or get away. I would be interested to see what the accomodations are like. One of my new favorite places in Midway!
The restaurant manager, a retired outdoor clothing salesman so he told us, was very kind and went around introducing himself and making sure the guests were taken care of. He gave out long-stemmed roses to a few of the guests who were celebrating special occasions and made sure everyone was having a good time.
Overall, our experience was lovely and I would be glad to come back again, even considering the pricey menu. The food in my opinion is more than worth it!
