This was the best way to ski the 4 resorts of Snowbird, Alta, Brighton and Solitude - the Super 8 is right on the bus route which is included in your "super pass" - obtained through the hotel at a reduced and very competitive rate. Convenient and perfectly adequate breakfast - make it up yourself with H&C drinks, cereals, donuts, toast, bagels and fruit.
3 mins to bus stop and then about 45/50 mins to each resort. Hotel offers airport pick-up service foc!!!! (Only 15/20 mins to airport)
Eateries are not so abundant but several, well -priced restaurants within 10 min walk - Famous Daves, Hoppers grill, Texas Lone Star (but watch out for "automatic gratuity" charge (18%), Bucca de Peppo italian across the road. Smiths grocery supermarket across the road and Walmart round the back of that , too.
No 72 (or ski bus) bus takes you to SLC Trax rail system (10mins) for a visit to downtown within 20 mins - must see Temple Square and shopping centres.
If you take a day off skiing and therefore don't have an activated pass for the day then it is only 5.50 bucs for a day pass on all buses and Trax.
Super 8 staff were excellent - no trouble to phone restaurant bookings, cabs etc - they even searched a deal on a GoPro headcam for me and I saved £150 against UK price. Staff always cheerful and obliging and the total cost of our 11 night trip with 9 days skiing included was considerably below travel company quotes.
if you are a discerning skier this is an ideal way to ski in those Wasatch mountains!!
Get onto Kori Thompson - General Manager, she is soooo helpful and gave us a great deal.
