Good location for Monument Valley. Being mid-November, this was the only hotel open in Mexican Hat. It's a motel, was mainly catering to visiting workers so it's not a fancy dude place. Rooms basic, no drinks facilities, hairdrier or toiletries. The nearby ice machine was switched off so supply pipe wouldn't freeze. Got ice from the cafe to chill our beers, without any problem.
Food good and freshly prepared, but was surprised that the burritto was dripping wet with green chili sauce. However it was a Navajo dish and the restaurant is run by Navajo, so I guess they know what they're doing. Wet or dry, it was delicious.
Room only, so had to buy breakfast, about $25 for the two of us with beverages (not all drinks had free refills). Need to take all this into account when comparing prices of establishments.
