We stayed here from 12th December to 19th December 2011 to attend our son's wedding and also experience a taste of America.
We were very tired after a long 15 hour journey and were shown to Room 214. This had two queen size beds, bathroom with bath and shower over, fridge, microwave, tv and coffee maker. Plenty of storage space, but a little short on coathangers.
The room was clean and the beds had clean bedlinen and were extremely comfortable.
The only thing missing was tea making facilities as my husband doesn't like coffee, but we had taken a travel kettle with us. One problem we did find was that the adapter we had purchased in England was only 2pin but the sockets were 3pin, so it was a little precarious balancing the plug and took a long time to boil due to different voltages.
Breakfast consisted of cereals, tea, coffee, toast with jams and waffles. It wasn't hurried at all, but weekend was busier but this could have been because of the season. Most guests seemed to be overnights.
The staff were really helpful, especially Naomi who worked the Reception in the Mornings. She always had a welcome every morning and was very interested in the English cultures, especially the Royal family. She was really helpful when it came to giving us details of the best places to see.
The Laundry was a little expensive, but at least its there. The pool was having a new heater installed while we were there, but this was finished before we left and folk were enjoying a swim and the spa pool. We were assured it was lovely and warm, but didn't take advantage of it.
Be aware though, the hotel is at the side of the Freeway and there is nothing around it like corner shops etc. There is a chemist across the busy Freeway, and behind this, quite a walk, is a shopping complex with a Target supermarket, DIY store and clothes stores etc., There are quite a few restaurants around the corner though.
All in all, this hotel served its purpose of somewhere comfortable to stay during our short visit and should we ever visit this part again, we wouldn't hesitate in stopping here.
We would recommend this hotel.
Room Tip: If you can't find the stairs, just ask. They seem to be hidden but they are there.
