The Shilo Inn, Kanab, was an incredable disappointment. The hotel is old, dated, and it shows. This particular hotel is far below what I expected from a Shilo Inn. In general, the hotel is well past its time for a complete renovation, with worn carpeting throughout, outdated amenities and furnishings and less-then-clean appearance. Hotel staff were friendly, but lacking in professionalism; they simply didn't seem to care. Breakfast was the standard complementary breakfast, not well presented, unremarkable, with bad coffee.

We booked this hotel in advance (for two nights) but checked out after the first night simply because of the dingy, uncomfortable feel of the hotel.

Overall, this hotel did not represent good value, especially considering the high cost. Find another hotel in the area (our second night in Kanab at the Holiday Inn Express was excellent.)

We enjoyed our stay at the Shilo Inn in Kanab. The hotel was clean. Overall we had a nice experience. See pros and some negatives below.

Location is great for visiting Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon.
Free hot breakfast.
Refrigerator and microwave in each room

Sort of picking but the pillows were really flat. The bed and sheets were super comfortable but it had these little nothing pillows on the beds.
We seemed to hear our neighbors above.

This hotel was an ok place to stay. Rooms were a bit dated, but clean. Staff was friendly. It was an average type hotel. Complementary breakfast was good. The only real complaint we had was that the bed was extremely hard, almost felt like you were sleeping on the floor. I wish they'd give you two pillows instead of just one per person, maybe that would balance out the hardness of the bed. We'd may stay here again, but I think we'll look somewhere else first.

The clerks were too busy discussing how much tips they were going to receive from coach tourists. Not very welcoming and friendly.
The wall in the room was so thin, could hear kids jumping and running the whole night.
Thank Goodness for free breakfast.
