The front desk was super helpful. Moved our room to one that opened right to the hot tub. Good for advice on were to eat in town and pick up groceries. Pool was really nice, warmest one I've ever been in. We liked the area so much and there's so much to see, that we've talked about going back. We'd stay here again.

I requested a room with a king bed, and got a suite big enough to bowl in. Also, the wi-fi is about as fast as I've ever seen anywhere.

Room had a microwave and fridge (hugely important, as least for me). It's clean, the staff were largely pleasant, and the walls thick enough that the yappy children I saw downstairs didn't keep me awake.

Breakfast was nothing special - hence the importance of the fridge and microwave. Hotel is situated on the northern end of the beautiful main drag/highway (which, this being Kanab, is still pretty quiet and empty.)

We were looking for a hotel in Page near the S. Rim, and every single room in town was booked! We had just resigned ourselves to having to sleep in the car when a hotel clerk told us that the Shilo had just called saying that they had a couple of rooms available due to a tour canceling! Needless to say we went right away! Sindy, at the front desk, was wonderful and gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was probably the best we had in our entire 3 week trip out West! And all for an extremely reasonable price!. The Shilo staff turned what had been a horrible night into a surprising and wonderful experience!

The Shilo Inn, Kanab, was an incredable disappointment. The hotel is old, dated, and it shows. This particular hotel is far below what I expected from a Shilo Inn. In general, the hotel is well past its time for a complete renovation, with worn carpeting throughout, outdated amenities and furnishings and less-then-clean appearance. Hotel staff were friendly, but lacking in professionalism; they simply didn't seem to care. Breakfast was the standard complementary breakfast, not well presented, unremarkable, with bad coffee.

We booked this hotel in advance (for two nights) but checked out after the first night simply because of the dingy, uncomfortable feel of the hotel.

Overall, this hotel did not represent good value, especially considering the high cost. Find another hotel in the area (our second night in Kanab at the Holiday Inn Express was excellent.)
