We took a trip to Zion last Thanksgiving. To save the $$ I booked this motel, where we stayed with kids 3 years ago.At that time it was pretty good,we hoped for the same experience.NO.
The door lock was barely holding the door, which was shaking with every person walking down the corridor; the security bolt broken. The heater was incredibly loud. The curtains and chairs dirty. The faucet was dripping water( it's very annoying at night). The toilet was clogged second evening, luckily the front desk girl gave my husband a plunger , with the help of which he solved the problem( at least temporarily). I was afraid to touch anything, everything looked so filthy. The pool didn't look appealing, especially the towels.I couldn't sleep there & was happy to get out of there.
The only good thing about it was the price-$40 hard to beat.
But I'd rather pay more, but stay in a nice clean place next time.
I want to thank all the people who write reviews for this site, thanks to them, I usually find best hotels, restaurants, etc.( my fault this time- didn't read the reviews, relied on our first experience).
If only I looked at the chart !
The math is simple: are you picky or not, if 23 people find it "terrible & poor", only 12 "good" with 10 in between- you decide.I'd rather camp.
