“False advertising”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

Huge billboard coming into town advertised rooms at under $40. Don't believe it. Those rooms are of course for only one person (we were 2), on certain days (not the days we were there of course), and those rooms were all gone (naturally). So we went next door to the Comfort Inn and found a very good room for a very good price.

“Kicked out on honeymoon! Would not honor price...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

We were kicked out of this motel at 11:00 am (which is checkout time) on the second day of our stay. The Motel got busier than expected and the owner/manager wanted to increase the rate we were quoted by $35.00 when we refused to pay the increase they told us they were booked up and could not stay the second night even though we had a reservation. Other than that the room was clean and modern with a very comfortable king size bed w/ fluffy pillows and a second story view of the mountians. Very nice. There are fresh waffles so we bought some strawberries from the local market and had a wonderful breakfast in our room, since it was our honeymoon and we had gone into the park @ 3am to watch the metorshowers. Just lovely...We would have liked to stay another night but the Howard Johnson in St. George was just as nice with a better price and the staff GREAT! Much better that at the DAYS INN Hurricane.

Room Tip: Have them run your card for the total price at check-in and get a reciept!

“Nice motel, the breakfast is a bonus!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2011

The Days Inn, Hurricane, UT is a clean and welcoming property to stay at after visiting Zion National Park. Located a short distance from the park, the motel is clean and has free wi-fi, coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. The room we were in was on the second floor, and there are no elevators, so pack light. For a nice amenity after hiking throughout Zion, there is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, with plenty of chlorine to keep it clean. As an added bonus, a continental breakfast is included with muffins, toast and cereal. One nice item, they have a waffle maker to make fresh waffles for breakfast, a big plus. For a good location to stay while visiting Zion, and not spending the $200 a night at the park. The Days Inn is the place.

Room Tip: Make a homemade waffle for breakfast!

“Great value; clean and priced low”

We first stayed at the Days Inn in Hurricane, Utah when visiting Zion National Park 3 years ago. It was a great hotel then, so we decided to return this week for another trip to Zion. The hotel provides all the basics at a great price. It is clean and comfortable, with a mini-fridge and microwave in each room. Sheets and towels are clean and soft. Continental breakfast is adequate with waffles, breads, cereals, and juice, but no fresh fruit or yogurt. The pool is small, but at least there is a pool and hot tub. The owners are very nice. Pets are allowed for a $20 fee. The overall price of the room was superb, and the restaurants and amenities in Hurricane are well worth the 30-min drive to Zion compared to the outrageous hotel prices in Springdale just outside the park.

“Yikes”

The pool was so murky we couldn't see the bottom. The fan in the room was nearly falling out of the ceiling. In the morning there was no...zero...zip...nada person manning the front desk. She just put a tray out that said put your room cards here. You had to trust your account was charged correctly and couldn't sign out. There was cereal at the breakfast and the milk ran out pretty fast but there was no one there to fill it. Some sweet foreigner talked to a bunch of cleaning people before, more than a half hour later, finding one who could locate the milk. (Imagine 30 travelers ready to leave just waiting for milk) The cleaning staff was awesome!!! The room was clean (And safe so long as we didn't turn on the ceiling fan). The customer in line before us requested a non-smoking room for his family with small children. He called over the phone directly to the Hurricane location to make the reservation. When he brought the key to the front desk to tell them of the smoking room instead of what he ordered the lady at the front desk was so rude, telling him it wasn't her problem. I don't really care if it was a mistake over the internet or in person on the phone. It was a Days Inn mistake. Finally she called across town and found him another room, but she wasn't happy to do it. I will never stay at a Days Inn again... anywhere. Obviously they don't keep track of their employees and service quality.
