Bear Lake is so beautiful and it is surprising to know that accommodations are rather few. We loved our stay at Bluewater Beach. The rooms are very clean and nice. The lodge on the lake is really great and right next to the best beach on all of Bear Lake. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and the resort is very friendly. It also has an RV section that is for members only. The hotel was great for a small family or for a reunion type of affair. My family combined rooms and you could be all together or break off individually too. The boat rental that is on the resort is close and easy to use. We loved it and will surely be back.

“Really Bad”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

We paid $85 plus tax for a room here -- way overpriced. No air conditioning -- the fan provided could not be placed in front of a window due to lack of outlets. No ice available even for a fee. The TV worked, but the cable stretched in front of the bathroom was a tripping hazard. One itty-bitty bar of soap. The beds were held up by slats that protruded to bark your chins. Ill maintained. I’d give it a 0 if I could.

“do not go here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2009

This Place has hidden costs. I was not happy @ all. Owner or manager was very rude. And bullies his way to force you to pay the unforseen costs. If you rent any of their water equipment watch out for the other costs. Was quoted one price for water trampoline @ $60 then after i put a reservation they said it was $80. so i tried to cancel they said would charge me $30 cancel fee. This place is a joke. Never been strong-armed like this. Do not recomend @ all.

“Great Place to Stay. Great Staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2009

I've been going to bear lake since i was a kid. This Hotel is a Nice place to stay. The rooms are nicely sized. Great beds.(Serta Perfect Sleepers) Overall A beautiful place to be. It is in a Membership RV Park. The members are friendly. The Staff is all excellent. I read the previous review about the staff being high schoolers. These "High Schoolers" were extremely nice and helpful. In a resort town that small you have to hire High schoolers. This place is very family friendly. I just love Blue Water Resort. I will be going back very shortly. I hope to see you there :)

“Awful!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2008

Gross! Dirty, filthy---overall bad experience. The decorum consists 1960-era carpet, tile (green!). The TV has 3 channels and is pre-remote control. VERY disappointed, especially when I discovered there were nice newer hotels and mini-cabins down the road for the same $75/night. We got so depressed when we got back to our room that we canceled the 2nd night and ate the $40 penalty they charged us. Don't subject your family or yourself to this awful place
