“Too expensive and crowded”

Our family of seven stayed here over a holiday weekend, I was expecting crowds but this was ridiculous!! We couldn't even walk along the beach. I didn't realize it was an RV park as well, and a crowded one. We stayed in the hotel on the beachfront. If you don't get one of the rooms with the kitchenette be prepared for the guests in that adjoining room to control YOUR AC!! There are no cleaning services provided unless requested and to boot you have to haul out your own garbage at the end of your stay to some dumpsters a couple of minutes walk away. For the price we paid, 140.00 a night I at least expect my trash to be removed, its a good thing we only stayed for 2 nights. The lake is beautiful but I would NEVER stay here again, I would rather camp in a tent on the other side of the lake.

“okay place but poor management and high price”

We just spent a week during July long weekend in the "hotel portion of the "resort". Our unit was quite lovely, the beds were great and the view was spectacular. However it is the only hotel where they don't make up or clean your rooms unless you ask for it and you must be in your room at that same time. We were there a week and did not have maid service once. We even bought our own toilet paper when we ran out. The jacuzzui did not work, the TV in the bedroom did not work, and you had to take out your own garbage to a container at the other end of the site. The pool temperature was cold and they would not consider turning the heater on. The scenery was great but the beach was pure mud going into the water. It did have a lovely hot tub. The "resort" is not a bad place, but it certainly is not a resort. It is a campground with some lodging. It was also too inconvenient for them to make a photo copy of a document for us, even for a price. The free internet was so poor that we would loose our conection. We found dealing with the management from the beginning so unprofessional and cumbersome that it spoiled what should have been a great week. It took numerous times to talk to the right people a year ahead just to make the booking.

“Ridiculously Over Priced !!”

The area is beautiful, no doubt. Downright spectacular. And there are almost no hotel options. But I got conned into making phone reservations at this place and was completely ripped off!

The " hotel" is just a big building with a few dozen rooms. Plywood walls, cheap roll- out carpet, and furnishings from garage sales. No
air conditioning, no amenities, nothing! Just bed and sink!

And, here's the kick: $185 a night!! I was there in June to run the Bear Lake Marathon and was told it was " high tourist season"....but, I was the only one in the hotel and never saw a single tourist anywhere!

Unfortunately this is a decent " camping lodge" but it sure isn't a hotel and its prices are dang near criminal. Big Thumbs Down !! Stay elsewhere !

“Very nice condo/hotel stay but subpar service. Overpriced for what it is.”

We stayed for three nights in hotel. Dish network and four beds worked great for us. The pool was closed during the day for a conference and the owner was rude when we wanted to use the hottub instead.
Boat rental on the beach was great. The lake is very high but we had fun swimming/wading anyway

“fantastic place”

Bear Lake is so beautiful and it is surprising to know that accommodations are rather few. We loved our stay at Bluewater Beach. The rooms are very clean and nice. The lodge on the lake is really great and right next to the best beach on all of Bear Lake. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and the resort is very friendly. It also has an RV section that is for members only. The hotel was great for a small family or for a reunion type of affair. My family combined rooms and you could be all together or break off individually too. The boat rental that is on the resort is close and easy to use. We loved it and will surely be back.
