The area is beautiful, no doubt. Downright spectacular. And there are almost no hotel options. But I got conned into making phone reservations at this place and was completely ripped off!
The " hotel" is just a big building with a few dozen rooms. Plywood walls, cheap roll- out carpet, and furnishings from garage sales. No
air conditioning, no amenities, nothing! Just bed and sink!
And, here's the kick: $185 a night!! I was there in June to run the Bear Lake Marathon and was told it was " high tourist season"....but, I was the only one in the hotel and never saw a single tourist anywhere!
Unfortunately this is a decent " camping lodge" but it sure isn't a hotel and its prices are dang near criminal. Big Thumbs Down !! Stay elsewhere !
