“Avoid Foster's”

Foster's is one of the few hotels/motels in close proximity to Bryce Canyon. However, after our recent experience, I would strongly advise anyone to stay elsewhere. Find a place in Panguitch or Tropic (small towns some miles from Bryce). Of the four people in our party, three were the victims of multiple bug bites, more than likely bedbugs. One had a pretty mild case, but two required medical help and prescribed medications. Needless to say, this put a damper on our trip. And even though we reported the bites to Foster's management and one couple changed rooms, the suspect room was occupied by a newly arriving party a few hours later. Do not stay at Foster's! I don't trust them to address the problem.

“Rough on the edges but workable!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

This is a lodging of necessity- not a destination motel. The staff is quite friendly and everything works in the room including a good choice of cable channels. It could use substantial modernization of the rooms. The restaurant was fine both for dinner and breakfast. Everything in the room was clean.

“Horrible place, DO NOT STAY HERE.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

We booked the room months ago because we had a large group going and wanted to get multiple people in the room to cut down on the cost. When we got there it looked like a real dump. When we got the room key and went to the room it was not what I had reserved. The website showed a room with a double bed and a set on bunks, when I made the reservation they told me you could fit a rollaway in there also, so I booked it. BUT after goin into the room it was two double beds. So I went back to the office and the girl was a real snot, and I told her the problem and she said we haven't had rollaways for 3 years and they had no rooms with bunk beds in them. So I complained enough that they gave us a free room. What I should have done is leave and go somewhere else..

“Could not offer rollaway bed but clean and staff were friendly and helpul.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

Good clean facility with helpful staff. The staff in the resteraunt were vey graceous and extremely helpful. They were quick when we needed them to be and the food was great.
Our stay was satisfactory minus that we could not get a rollaway bed. The matresses were of average quality.

“Bed Bugs”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

I read the reviews on trip advisor and stayed here anyway because there were no other hotels near Bryce Canyon with vacancy. I arrived late and went to bed. The air conditioner was broken and visually missing parts, no screen on the window, and there was no modeling around the door.

I turned the light on in the middle of the night and saw multiple bed bugs all over the pillow and sheets. I didn't believe infestations like this was possible in a hotel and due to how bad it was going on for a while.

Do not stay here because you will risk bringing bed bugs home with you. If you can't find another place to stay near Bryce Canyon National Park then drive the extra 30 minutes and stay somewhere else or pay the money which would be well worth a good night sleep at the Best Western if they have vacancy.
