I am absolutely perplexed at how many people love this hotel! It actually makes me question any review on trip advisor. I am a world traveler and have stayed in really bad hotels and really amazing ones. This is not the worst by any means. The staff was lovely and accommodating. The rooms were clean and for the rating the linens were pretty good.

The location is DREADFUL. It is directly on a highway that runs parallel to a train track. The view is of cars and industrial plants. The first night I stayed on the highway side. I am a person who can sleep anywhere.I sleep on trains, planes, you name it. But the noise from the freeway and trains kept me up. At 4 a.m. I stuffed wads of toilet paper in my ears to dampen the noise. I fell asleep once those were in. I asked to be moved to the street side. They didn't think they could move me until the following night but then called me during the day saying they could. They moved my stuff for me (excellent job at that). It was much quieter...but still not great.

The workout room is awful. Only 3 pieces of equipment. The pool looked good for families with kids.

I would stay again if every other hotel in SLC and surrounding areas were booked. I feel bad about this review as the staff was SO nice. But if you are a heavy sleeper who doesn't mind views of the highway and parking lot this is a good place to stay. Otherwise you should look elsewhere.

Eight different relative's homes we could stay in nearby, but we choose to stay at the Country Inn when we're visiting from California. We've been doing this since the hotel was built. Our relatives would be glad to have us stay.........but when you think about all of the towels, sheets, and pieces of toast my family needs, it's just more convenient for everyone if we stay in a hotel. The Country Inn is within five minutes of most relative's homes.......the hotel seems to have it's own freeway off ramp and on ramp. It's so nice to have our own place to go to after visiting all day. I've never noticed the freeway noise. Usually sleep in, work out, eat a great breakfast, then off on another day of visiting relatives.

We love staying at this hotel whenever we're in Utah. The staff are wonderful at the hotel and so attentive. We always love to eat the yummy chocolate cookies at check-in. The rooms are nice and ALWAYS clean. But the best part for us....the beds! They are so comfortable with really comfy pillows. We have never been disappointed by staying here and highly recommend this hotel! The staff is amazing and have always been so accomodating. We love the breakfast. The dining room is large and the food is yummy. They offer delicious hot breakfast choices as well as your standard "continental" choices; our favorite....the waffles! The hotel is conveniently located by the freeway, shopping and restaurants. We won't stay anywhere else but this hotel!

This Hotel is a very nice hotel that is just minutes from the Salt Lake Valley, we stayed in October 2011. I liked the fact that it was quiet and close to eating and movie options. Both were located only 2 blocks away from the hotel. Everyone at the hotel made sure everything was in order. The pool was also inside and was very nice and inviting. The hotel appears to have easy access from the freeway, but if you are coming from the North, you have to take a "Left Exit". And coming in from the South is also not easily located unless you have a navigation device. The rooms were clean and well maintained as well as a little larger than most of the hotels. This was especially appreciated because we had our two little grand kids that always require a lot more room to engage in their activities. The kids liked the breakfast, especially the waffles! They also liked the swimming pool. We will probably stay again!
