“clean, nice breakfast, large room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

Called to confirm room booking and was politely told that it was ready and waiting

Arrived around 7pm and staff & families were having Christmas party - I walked in and said hello and said "I'd like to check in"

The front desk clerk literally jumped up and ran to the front desk, and checked me in - there was a cute small dog behind the desk.

I parked car and took bags up elevator - on way to room, same staff member had raced up the stairs to attend to some guests room - they are BIG on service here. She said "stairs are faster" - get the picture?

Value was good for money & breakfast was super duper - yes I love a good breakfast. No bacon or sausage tho - just biscuits and gravy - but it was super good. We also grabbed 3 english muffins for the road which the kitchen staff saw but did not comment on.

“great hotel experience!”

my husband and i stayed here for the weekend in one of the suites and absolutely LOVED it! we had a few "user errors" with our room key when when we first arrived but luckily the manager was quick and eager to help even though it was the middle of the night! we bugged her about a million times before getting settled in thankfully she was a very good sport! our room was huge and we instantly noticed how fresh and clean it was. the bathroom and kitchen are extra big and comfortable, they even have a walk in closet and vanity/dressing area! we were really sad to leave, we could have spend a whole extra day just in our room! we love this hotel and if we're ever in wichita falls again we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

“Had Better Service at a Roach Motel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

I had the unfortunate privelage of staying at this so called establishment for a month due to work. The entire time of my stay, my family, friends, and I were treated like second-rate citizens. We were talked down to the entire time we were there and made to feel like we were putting them out because we would ask for things like more dish soap. The manager, Megan I believe is her name, is the snobbiest person I've ever met. I don't know where she could've gotten her sense of entitilement from. The rooms were never cleaned by the so-called maids aside from the beds being made. When I called to complain, Megan said, with an attitude, "they're not really maids...they're just here to make sure your sheets aren't blundered!" Oh really?! Then why do you claim to have a maid service if I have to clean my own room??

They advertised a gaming room for the kids online. When we checked in, we realized there was no such room. There was an empty room in the lobby which was where the game room was intended to be. FALSE ADVERTISING!! Not a kid friendly place what-so-ever!! There's no place for them to play at all!

The icing on the cake was when I had a package accidentally delivered to the hotel after I had already left. When I called to make arrangements to have someone come pick the package up for me (since I was in a different state by then) Megan told me to have them pick it up within the next few days or she would personally throw it in the trash. Classy, eh?

The other employees were actually decent. Megan just seems to be the cancer that ruins the entire hotel experience. I don't know why she chose a career in customer service and hospitatlity but I'm thinking a job within a cubicle where she doesn't have to talk to anyone would better suit her.

The overall hotel was decent. We were in the suites for the majority of the time, which were nicer than the regular hotel rooms. I never had issues with the laundry rooms though they seemed a little pricey. The pool was okay except when my children, friends and I got kicked out of it because they needed to do lawn maintenance one afternoon. That was pretty inconveniant to say the least. Overall experience....TERRIBLE....for reasons already before mentioned!!

Dear Valued Guest - We sincerely apologize to you for not handling this situation with the utmost concern and empathy. I do believe you were staying with us during the summer months under a contracted rate negotiated by our companies to include housekeeping on certain days of the week. This was done to help lower the cost of the room for your company. I am sorry that you chose not to have us Fed-Ex you your package after it was delivered to our hotel by mistake. I do hope it reached you secured.

Please know that we value your business. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy our great community or our hotel. However, I am glad to see that we did receive higher ratings from you on other topics like value, location and room quality. It is understandable that you were disappointed with your stay and I submit that your experience is not typical of the town or our property and I hope that you will return some day to experience and enjoy Wichita Falls, and the Lexington.

In the spirit of hospitality,

“New management”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011 via mobile

We stayed at the Lexington this summer and we weren't impressed but we decided to give them another shot and we were very pleased. They have made a much needed management change and all of the staff seem to enjoy their job. The new GM served a turkey dinner to those of us away from family this holiday and she was very sweet to us. We will always stay at the Lexington.

“Great Find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

This Hotel was a great find. The staff was very friendly, the check-in was uncomplicated and prompt. Our room was large and very clean with enough space for our two boys to play. The outdoor pool was refreshing and even offered a small BBQ area. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and plenty with something for everyone. Highly recommend this Hotel. It is close to stores and restaurants and just minutes off the Highway, which was a perfect location for us.

Room Tip: Choose a "suite" with kitchenette even if it won't be used. It is not more expensive b...
