Motel was easy to locate and check in was ok. Room was average size and clean. except carpet was a little soiled, but this seems to be the norm at budget hotels. Rate was ok at about $80. Bed was comfortable enough, although the bed linnens were a little worn, but were clean. Nice flatscreen TV with a good selection of channels. Hotel was quiet with no noise problems. By time I got to lobby for continental breakfast not much was left. Looks like they had juice, cereal, sweet rolls, bagels, etc. Overall a satisfactory experience for a budget hotel.

Not a good hotel. Towels are paper thin. Beds not comfortable. Had to beg for clean towels. Front asked " what for? How many people in room?!". It was my husband and I and two kids under 11. Keep driving. Stay somewhere else.

Since there was an event going on in town they raised the price by at least $30. The manager told my relatives if they stayed an additional night (which was after the festivities) he would charge them the usual price. The motel is okay, but it was not worth what they were charging ($100.00). Instead of being fair to customers so they will return these people are all about the money.

Not a huge problem to be found. Just a couple of notes: The location was really convenient for my work in Wharton. If you are a family travelling far, and must have a pool, check out the Holiday Inn Express or the Country Hearth -- Just down the road. BUT! For people on a budget, this place was just as nice, room-wise for about $20 LESS per night.

There is a HUGE, Brand New Buc-EE's right down the HWY and a Wal-Mart, so it is a VERY good place to stop for the night if you're on a long road trip.

Also, for some reason, the houskeeping staff COMPLETELY IGNORED the "Do Not Disturb" sign I put on the door each day. I mean, every day. EVERY SINGLE DAY I came from work and my room had been cleaned. So, you might want to get clear with the front desk on that one.

But other than that it was OKAY.
