My husband and I rented this room because it was the closest to my sister's house in Weslaco. We went there for my niece's sweet 16 party. When we walked in, I couldn't tell if we were in Mexico or still in Texas anymore. The phones were down the whole time we were there (9/30/06-10/01/06) so we had to use our cell phones to call anywhere. Most of the lamps did not work and the remote to the T.V. did not work. The television did not hardly catch any channels and the ones that came in clear were in Spanish! Their business cards state "free continental breakfast"... I never saw any place where any sort of breakfast was available. The staff all had either family members or a boyfreid there during their shifts. The only times the staff spoke to you is when you spoke or asked them a question. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere, anywhere else but this hotel. It was too expensive for a small no name place. It was a very disappointing stay!

This hotel is great, its very clean and the rooms are upkept. I've had problems with the Best Western in the past and am very glad we ended up at this Days Inn. Its real close to Mexico, a great central location between Mc Allen and Harlingen. The owner, manager, and staff are very friendly people, they made me feel like I was at home. My husband was even able to connect to their high-speed internet with his lap-top. You can tell they exceed their standards, I will continue staying at their hotel and also refer others traveling to that area.
