We spent seven nights here in February. The price is economical and the accommodations are great. The people at the front desk are very good. The breakfasts are good. The location is good. We used this hotel as a base for bird watching for 60 miles in all directions. We will most likely come back next year.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express-Weslaco for a few days this summer when my air conditioner at home went out. I found the hotel to be extremely clean, the internet fast, the service exceptional, and the staff friendly and professional.

I'm in the dental tourism industry in Nuevo Progreso. As such, we strive for the qualities exemplified by Holiday Inn Express. I was so impressed with the hotel that I decided to recommend it to all my customers.

I stayed here during the RGV Birding Festival. It's a nice clean hotel and conveniently located just off 83. Spacious room, lots of cable stations, hi-speed Internet, and other amenities. It was a short drive into Harlingen for the birding festival and also very close to Estero Llano Grande State Park and Frontera Audubon Society Weslaco Thicket.
There are 2 restaurants (excluding the Burger King) within walking distance of the hotel. I would suggest not getting a room near the pool--as there were several kids playing very loudly there until 9-10 pm over the two nights I was there.
