I booked through Hotwire, so I didn't personally choose to stay here. That said, my room was prepaid through this booking.
When we arrived, (as other reviews from a long time ago even point out) none of the ice machines worked, on any of the floors. You were able to get ice from the front desk, but were usually greeted with a 'you are inconveniencing me' attitude. Oh well.
The terrible part was they ended up charging the card we had on record for incidentals for the price of the room after we left (again, this was paid in advance.)
I called the following week to get this resolved, and the man told me it would be back on my card in 3-5 days... 10 days passed, no refund.
I called again and was told they would call me back in the morning because he would need to speak with the overnight clerk who checked us in... 5 days passed, no call, no refund.
I called again, and this time was told he would need to speak to the manager and would return my call... Nothing.
Finally today I called and was able to speak to the manager (Jamie) directly. She seemed very aware of my problem - which was annoying, since I had never been contacted - and proceeded to tell me this was not their problem. "The Hotwire payment didn't come to us, so we had to get paid," meaning that is why they charged our card. Little was she aware that we had booked two rooms on the same card, and that one was fine - totally different from what the first person had told me. To sum it up... she told me, not their problem and to contact Hotwire. They were appalled by the suggestion and the situation and are refunding my full amount.
I also contacted Marriott corporate offices to file a complaint. That experience was night/day from the hotel. They were very apologetic, and also agreed to refund this erroneous charge, and to deal with the management of this establishment.
So... Fairfield Inn & Marriott are great! Just NOT this particular location. BEWARE
