If you are going to be staying in a hotel, Staybridge (Webster, TX) is the place to stay...I have booked this particular location three different times and loved every minute. It's like staying in your own home, except someone keeps it clean for you. And the location is safe with plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.

Beginning with the check-in experience, the staff is very friendly and helpful. As for the room(s), the kitchen is adequately outfitted with all the necessities, there is a large flat screen TV in the living room and the bedroom. Everything was as clean as if it were brand new. The hotel itself is clean and has all the amenities you could expect in this price range...swimming pool, a large public room with comfortable furniture, tables for the included serve yourself breakfast, convenient parking, laundry room, workout room, a small store open 24/7, wired and wireless networking, and more.

If I had one less than great comment, it would be to begin the breakfast service earlier to accomodate early risers or early checkouts.

Oh...one more thing...now kind of funny...the first time, not so much. When they built this property, apparently they changed the street configuration and didn't tell my Garmin or smartphone. Both devices had us driving around in circles, telling us we had arrived, and yet no hotel. Not funny when you are tired of driving. But, Garmin and smartphone have all caught up with the current mapping and you should have no problem finding it now.

I do and have recommended the Staybridge as the place to stay when in this area.

Okay, it's not the Ritz, but it was very clean and neat and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We thought the suite was large and comfortable and well maintained. I would recommend this for anyone traveling on a budget.. They have a very nice breakfast buffet, which is included with your room, and includes fresh fruit, a cooked egg dish, meat , breads, waffles, juices, yogurt , cereals, coffee and more. They also offer a free dinner buffet 3 nights a week, which would be a real savings for those traveling with children. I noticed people walking dogs, so they must be pet friendly. It's not romantic or upscale, but it is comfortable and a good value for the $$.

The first thing you will notice at this Staybridge Suites is the great hospitality that truly makes you feel welcome. On my visit, I was greeted with fresh baked cookies. The front desk lady explained the many extras -- top notch fitness center, guest laundry, small resort style pool, movies to check out for playing in the room DVD player, comfortable lobby with light dinner every night and full breakfast included.

The room was spacious and very clean with a kitchenette and full-size refrigerator. The latter was also a drawback since it made a typical hum in what was essentially your bedroom. (I took care of this by unplugging it before going to bed since I didn't have anything in there that needed to stay chilled.) I had no problem sleeping in the king-sized bed with plenty of pillows. The air conditioner (with thermostat) blowing did bother me a bit, but I have a trick for this. (Chill down the room before going to bed, and then just turn it off while sleeping.) One more gripe -- the closet was in the bathroom. I considered these issues to be minor.

The fitness center had new, well-kept equipment complete with TVs with audio units on the cardio equipment. I did not use the weight machines, but they looked like they were in good working order. It was not really the right time of year, but the outdoor pool looked clean and inviting and sported a rock waterfall. The area behind the hotel is not particularly attractive (field buffering the back of a shopping plaza) but not an eyesore either.

I checked out the complementary dinner one night but only had a piece of carrot cake. (There are many good restaurants nearby.) They were serving stuffed shells that night with salad and garlic bread. They also serve commercial beers. For breakfast, they have an assortment of items -- cold cereal, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, rolls, eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles and coffee. It's not a gourmet meal, but adequate for a quick morning meal.

You enjoy your meals in a comfortable lobby with a fireplace and a big screen TV. There is also another TV room with cushy chairs off to the side. I thumbed through the movies for checkout. They had a decent mix of recent and older movies -- a nice extra especially since you have a DVD player in the room. The hotel had free WiFi throughout.

I would definitely stay again on a subsequent visit. The people at this Staybridge Suites do a great job at making their guests comfortable.

During my stay at the staybridge I recieved amazing treatment and help, Amanda Frank who worked the front desk stood out the most from their amazing staff. Amanda treated me and my friends as if we were guest in her own home. She helped and assiated in many ways during are vist and always had a postive attiude.
