If it weren't for the staff...I would give this place no more than 2 stars. With that being said, I really need to tip my hat to Garrett, Jose, Jeanine and Crystal for their exemplary customer service - they really deserve to work at a "higher scale" facility.

Buffet breakfast good - made to order omelets were superb
Sports bar was nice for taking a break - chatting and eating some pretty decent food. I was hooked up with a freshly smoked cut of Prime Rib that was probably one of the best meals that I've had in Texas.

Bad:
Dated facility
Had to move from my first room which was totally unacceptable
Prices are way too high for what you get. This is basically a $75 per night place - you simply feel a bit ripped off by paying more.
Old style 25" RCA TV...simply terrible

Once again - the staff was great - the actual hotel very much below average.

Don't be deceived by the pictures, this hotel isn't as nice as the pictures portray. We paid $138 for one night and thought we were getting a much nicer room. The rooms were small and the beds were hard. The bedspreads were old, filthy, and had holes in them. It just felt so dirty. We were under the impression that breakfast was included in our reservation, but it wasn't. We were able to get tickets for breakfast, but had to pay an extra $5 if we wanted the hot breakfast. This wasn't stated in anything on the website. I won't be staying in this hotel ever again and advise you to stay away from it. I never write reviews, but thought I would warn the next person to be wary before making your reservation at this hotel. The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the staff. They were friendly and helpful.

My family stayed here over the weekend attending the Homestead fair. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Our suite was large with a separate living/dining area and overlooked the atrium. The place is old but our room was clean and neat. I think it was a great buy! The location was great and accessible to everything. As a choice member our entire family received free light buffet. We would stay here again.

My wife and I came up here for Baylor's homecoming with our children. We arrived, and they had booked us in a smoking room. In 2011, I had no idea that I even needed to request one. When we asked to be moved, the staff just no that they were booked for the night. The manager informed that the following evening they should have a non-smoking room and that we should check with her in the morning. While the hotel does have a great location near campus, I would rather fight the parking battles any day rather than stay at the Clarion Inn in Waco. We ultimately slept at my brother's apartment rather than deal with the nightmare at the Clarion. My son's description was perfect, "daddy that room is stinky."
