“The staff are liers and ripoffs!”

Our family was staying here for a family reunion. We were quoted one price but charged a higher price! They told each of us a different reason, lie as to why they couldn't give us the price! They were extremely rude! In fact they acted like they didn't know what we were talking about when several of us called to reserve our rooms( red flags)! I do not recommend this place for any reason! In fact Best Western should remove their name from this motel!

“Just keep driving.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

I wish we had kept driving. Where to begin? Should I start with the tub that was seperating from the floor and you had to be careful not to trip over because it would shift every time you moved? Should I start with the ciggarette burns (and smell) on both the linens and carpet though it was supposedly a non smoking room? Speaking of the carpet, it was threadbare and thin as a sheet. Should I talk about the dead gnats or fleas or whatever they were that were all over the place including in the sheets and on the towels? I give them credit that all of the bugs in the room (except for two flies) were dead. The man who checked us in seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else and would not allow us to change rooms saying that they were booked up solid (with five cars in the parking lot? yeah right). Or should I mention that the "breakfast" was in the back room of a catfish restaraunt? Shady.

I honestly cannot belive that Best Western put their name on this. As a kid on road trips I always remembered Best Westerns being the nice properties, the ones we were excited to stay in. One night here has ruined the brand for me and I will never stay in a Best Western again. So please do yourself a favor and just keep driving, you will thank me later.

“Wonderfully Unexpected!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Lost late at night on the way home from a college visit, my mom and I stumbled upon this Best Western motel. As we entered the lobby, we were greeted by a friendly puppy and an even friendlier, pleasant manager. He was accommodating in describing the facilities available to us around the motel and even called us in our room to ask how everything was and if we needed anything. He gave us a clean, tidy, and charming room with 2 Queen-Sized beds away from the construction worker's rooms and near some fellow travelers.
The motel served a charming continental breakfast with many options. At our checkout the manager gave us directions and was very friendly and accommodating- with his help, we were ready to hit the road! Kudos to this manager and kudos to this motel.

Room Tip: The manager will give you the best room available to fit your needs.

“One Step Above Motel 6”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast was bearly adequate. The room is one step, if that, above those you find at a less expensive Motel 6. The bathroom was exceedingly small and cramped. One bar of soap. Towels were old and stiff. Pillows were lumpy and thick - DW forgot her pillow from home. The breakfast was in the backroom of a nearby catfish restaurant. The breakfast attendant acted like he wanted to be somewhere else and the eggs were cold. The cereal was good. The room was very clean. A lot of diesel truck owners in the parking lot.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

we stayed at this hotel for 2-3 days and it was really nice and comfortable stay. Although property was a bit old, room was very clean, big and had everything needed. The staff was friendly and helpful too. If i ever go to Vernon again, i would definitely stay there. Thumbs up!!!!!
