After spending a night at a dump in Quitman, it's good to stay in a decent motel. We have stayed at La Quinta motels from east coast to west coast. Some are better than others but all have been pretty good and we have enjoyed our stay. This one was a great hotel with a swimming pool, wifi, and, as usual, a continental breakfast. The breakfast consisted of hot & dry cereal, muffins, bagles, waffles, boiled eggs, juice, tea, and coffee. The staff was courteous and outgoing. There were a lot of restaurants to choose from in the area and there was easy access to the loop and other major highways.

A nice motel. Attractive, comfortable rooms. Good comp breakfast. Friendly staff. Very reasonable AARP rate. Close to the Tyler Azalea Trail, which is breathtaking.

We received a good rate through Priceline for this hotel for a one night stay. After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, I was scared to see what my room would look like and already had in my head I would be finding another hotel. But this place isn't bad at all. It is an older hotel. Our room was clean....beds were clean and the bathroom was clean. The room was a bit small for two adults and two children, but fine for one night. Front office staff were pleasant and the breakfast was ok. Would not have a problem staying here again, especially at the rate we received.

The best thing aboutthe hotel was the weekend day staff. The newscast area was always stocked and cleaned. Unlike the weekday staff . I actually had to ask for the table to be cleaned . And when I asked for additional waffle mix I was told the manager said they where out! Wow, then immediately someone started to clean up the area. My first clue was at check in - our bath tub was dirty . When I called to the front desk for it to be cleaned I was told there was no one able to do it so we did! I'll stop there!
