It looks like a la Quinta, but is definitely one of the worst examples of this chain that I've ever stayed at.
Staff person I met was friendly, but the place just has a creepy, not quite safe vibe. Here solo on business & glad I didn't bring the family.

Couldn't get the free wifi to work on my pc or phone (at the Denny's that shares the parking lot, their wifi worked fine, so I think it was a la Quinta problem).
Room is very humid, like the AC isn't working efficiently.
The highway noise in the room is VERY loud.

Really, it's times like these that I kick myself for trying to save a few bucks. Won't be coming here again...

“Awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

The room was small and smelt. Bathroom and bedroom were dirty. I did not feel safe in the lobby. Receptionist was not interested. Breakfast was limited to say the least. Stay here only if every other hotel in The Woodlands is booked up.

Room Tip: Get one on the side away from the highway.

“Just say no...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

I think there was a small family run hotel on Isla Mujeres that was worse than this one. That's the only place I've stayed at that could compare. Found out if you use Hotwire to book your room they'll turn off access to the room phone and movies after 10pm. Shows you where this hotel is headed. We had a party going on in the parking lot; paper-thin walls, insects (crawling and flying varieties), a bathroom that had the "eau de sewer" perfume, and several mariachi bands (I guess that's what they were) roaming the complex. There is no reason to stay at this hotel when the overpass nearby is much more convenient, quieter, and comfortable. Plus, if you are quicker than the nutria, you can get a better breakfast. I can't say enough about this room except just say no. There are many options in this area; this isn't one of them.

Room Tip: There are no best rooms

“stolen property”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2010

We stayed for the thanksgiving holiday weekend at this hotel to have a mini vacation and attend the Renaissance Fair. Well let me tell you what a surprise we got... it seems that someone helped themselves to our liquor as well as went thru our personal belongings and took a tobacco pipe. It is unfortunate that you cannot vacation without fear that someone might go thru your personal things and just themselves with no shame!

The room was nice and toasty but that's about it! The bed and pillows were not fluffy and inviting. The coffee pot that i used one day was left for me to wash as well as the dirty cups were still there on the dresser. And i'm assuming that the coffee supply was low because i did not get any additional coffee for the next morning. Empty soda cans were left behind and the bathroom counter was not wiped down, i guess after the bed was made the vodka kicked in. Now i come to find that the weekend stay was charged twice on my cc, WTF???? As much as i have travelled this has never happened and due to this, i will never stay here again that's for sure!

“Great service, bed, and food but very smelly bathroom”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2010

Great friendly service, nice location, good food, but the bathrooms smelled so bad though it looked clean. It was the only flaw. The hum of the highway was not a big deal. Pool was really nice too.
