We recently stayed in Unit #2 for several days while visiting BBNP. On the positive side, the location was beautiful, the units are high up with great views in a quiet setting and fully equipped kitchen. I wanted to like the place, but the unit was quite rundown and dirty, primarily the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in some time (a swish or two of the old mop outside the door apparently did not do much) and my daughter's feet were filthy after walking around for 2 minutes. Other areas of the floor had not been swept properly (or washed) for some time (dead bugs and other debris). The unit needed a massive day long spring cleaning which I suspect has not been done in quite some time. I may sound picky but generally am not, this was just way below even a poor motel cleaning job. This was a 2 door trailer and one of the doors would not lock and could be pulled open from the outside -- the owner claimed the door just needed to be jiggled (jiggled right open is what happened). The bedroom AC unit broke down and again, owner claimed it just needed to be turned off and back on (we had done that, still broken), but it was our last night so we were okay by using the other 2 units. I could list other issues my husband commented on, but let's just say basic maintenance is lacking. We did look at Unit #1 which is a cabin (not a trailer) which was recently remodeled and despite this review, we might try that in the future, b/c we did like this quiet location. Unless every reviewer stayed in Unit #1, some of the other reviews look suspect to me. The price was cheap, but I still expect a basic cleanliness and a door that locks.
Room Tip: Would avoid except Unit #1
