I stayed at the Holiday Inn October 6th and 7th and could not have been happier. The room I was in was very clean and all the furnishings were obviously new. We held our 25 year class reunion in the hotel, and they could not have been any nicer and accomodating. I will definitely consider this hotel in the future.

I had checked out several travel websites to get reviews on hotels for our trip. I was thinking it would make it easier to know where to stay in advance, plus make sure the hotel was decent, clean and comfortable. The reviews I did get on the Holiday inn in Sweetwater were very favorable and It was rated a three star Hotel. One review said it was either built or remodeled in 2003. Talk about a disappointment! Initially it looked nice. The lobby was decorated well, the front desk personel were nice. But below the facade it was not as nice. The room did not smell fresh. The paint on the walls was crumbling in places, the walls themselves were dirty, the room was dirty in all the corners. The bed itself was comfortable I must say, but I was so uncomfortable by then it was hard to relax because it just seemed old and dirty in there. There is no way this was built or redone in 2003. One more thought...I will admit I am very picky about Hotel rooms and it is rare to find a truly clean one (the corners especially)....
