I have stayed at this resort at least 6 times and each time it goes a little further down hill and have probably stayed for the last time. Some of the great amenities no longer exist. No pool bar and grill, have to go to front desk to get pool towels or anything else you need (they do not bring to you), no manager's happy hour with warm beer and cheap wine anymore(it was a great time to get together for the Winter Texan crowd), etc This last visit they were retiling the main floor hallway which I think is a great idea but guests should have been informed before arrival and it was very very inconvenient and noisy. My biggest complaint is parking. I have had this the last several times I have visited that an event will be booked for the meeting room leaving registered staying guests with no or very poor parking. I think registered guests should get premium parking and a special area designated for meetings, parties, etc. We also did not get LaQuinta bathroom amenities just a couple of bars of cheap soap and had to ask to have toilet paper rolls refreshed. The pump is really noisy on the hot tub and needs repair since at least January 2011.

One good point, the pool was actually heated this time instead of the lame excuse I have had on previous visits "hotel isn't full enough for us to turn on heaters. "

We looked at several other properties for our next visit :(

The staff at la quinta is awesome. Will go out of their way for their guests.

Room spacious, clean, beautiful view, breakfast great! However, if you need to be connected, no go!

After a Saturday wedding, my daughter, granddaughter and I decided to visit the island. We stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suites because I am a member of the Rewards Program. I have gotten a free night before and I do like that incentive. The place was clean, they complied with our request for a crib, breakfast was served the next morning and the pool was clean and very enticing. I would definitely stay there again. I had reserved the room ahead of time and the personnel there were prompt in getting us our room. I was quite pleased with the service and the hotel environment.
