We received a great deal on the price since we came in the off season. The beds are extremely comfortable and the views are great. Considering that its a hotel right on the Gulf of Mexico, its looks really good. We would definitely stay again when its warmer...

Nice place and, the staff was very nice and accomadating. Unfortunately we went in October when they had red tide. The red tide made your eyes water and nose run and made you feel very uncomfortable. We had to leave after one day. We would love to give this another try, just at a time when there is no Red Tide

I will be at this hotel next time I come to south padre island. They accepted dogs, so that's a winner, however I think the $50 pet fee was a little much. The rooms were great had a awesome view of the beach. I noticed they didn't have a microwave in the room, so I walked downstairs with my daughters bottle, and they offered to bring a microwave to my room, which was very nice of them. The only other two things I disliked was $50/ hold each night you stayed there on the credit card, and all inputs were disabled on the tv. Meaning you can not hook up your ps3 to the tv because the hdmi port on the tv was disabled. But overall I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, I will be there again next year. With the $50 hold on the credit card they allow you to use that hold towards any room service or dining at the hotel, but it is a bit over priced. The chicken nachos are out of this world by the way.

I've been a frequent visitor since The Pearl South was the Sheraton. I've never had any problems with the customer service at the front desk or the bellhop. A few times they have gone above and beyond to please me and my family. Everytime I visit my home town of Brownsville we stay at the Pearl. Seeing the same wonderful staff that I've known over the past 12 years makes me feel like I'm coming home.
