I really liked this place. It's a shorter walk to the beach than most of the others in it's price range ( I have stayed at quite a few hotels on SPI ). Most of the other hotels in this price range are on the Bay side. The hotel is small with something like 12 rooms, It is one of the oldest hotels on the island and has been updated/remodeled. Not the Ritz Carlton by any means but if you are looking for a great price and location can't beet it.

pool (small but right outside your door)

this past May was our 12th visit to the island. Stayed at the same place every year. Bill and Stacie have been the owners since '04. They are great hosts. The place is clean, quiet (this is not a party hotel) and the price is right. Two minute walk to the beach (if you walk slowly). Best value for our money; that's why we stay there every year.

We appreciated this small inn and the work done by the husband and wife team that owns the establishment and worked to ensure our visit was perfect. We look forward to visiting again soon!

We have been staying at Southbeach for years and consider this our home away from home. The rooms are clean and it's less than a block from the beach. Bill & Stacie are like family to us and we wouldn't stay anywhere else on the Island.
