This place gets lots of great reviews, but we didn't see the appeal of it. For two possible reasons, the camaraderie remarked upon among guests just didn't exist - 1)red tide kept people inside & 2)construction going on at the motel was troublesome. Kitchen kit ($10 extra) looked like stuff from Goodwill, and included no glasses. There was a coffeepot in the room, but no makings for coffee, not even for first night. Husband (of owner couple) somewhat friendlier than wife, but I generally felt that there was grumbling acquiescence on things we asked for. There was no warning that construction would cause entrance to parking area to be closed off (and coming in the exit appeared dangerous to me). This place is very reasonably priced, and we only stayed there 3 nights, waiting to get into our beachfront condo, but would not choose it again, even if we had to pay somewhat more.
