My sister and I were coming back from a wedding in July, stopped in Shamrock out of pure exhaustion -- were so tired we just chose a place from the free ad coupons one gets at Visitor's Centers. Manager was dubious, but finally gave us the advertised price.
The room was basically clean, and the fridge worked, but the room was dimly lit, and dingy. It was like sleeping in grandma's old attic. The bed was lumpy and creaky, the linens were stiff and yellow and the towels I would have long relegated to a rag box. Breakfast was rather stale as well. I certainly would not return.
