I have stayed at Weatherstone 4 years in a row during the Salado Stroll. It is the perfect place to be in Salado - close enough to the main street to walk just about everywhere, yet set back enough that you enjoy lots of peace and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and you can walk across the road and be right at Salado Creek. The breakfasts are DIVINE and I guarantee you won't go away hungry. I have stayed in both of the suites (The Corn Crib and the Weaning Cabin) and they are great...really cozy and comfortable. The Weaning Cabin would be perfect for a couples getaway with a private patio and the Corn Crib is great for a group...the two suites are connected, if you want...you can get both suites and open up the door for one big suite. This is what we do for our mom/daughter trip each year. There is also a guest room in the main house. I have never stayed there, but have seen it and it is nice as well.

Need a place for a special occasion - party, wedding, etc? Check out Jack's Barn, which is on the grounds. I have seen it decorated for a couple of dances and it is awesome, as well.
