I was planning my wedding at their hall (Celebration Center) who is managed by the same people who own Old Salado Springs Retreat which is on the same property. I was supposed to have my wedding there in 2009 but had to postpone it till the September of 2010 because of my mothers cancer diagnosis. To make a long story short throughout the entire summer I was hardly ever able to reach anyone to talk about plans or make plans with vendors who would be arriving at the hall. I tried to get a hold of HOLLY and EVERY WEEK I would leave emails, voicemails, etc, on the office phone and on her personal cell number and throughout the entire summer she answered 1 email and left one voicemail saying she was in and out of surgery. My wedding is 2 1/2 weeks away and about a week ago I had to call and leave her a voicemail and email letting her know that I will not be able to have my wedding there since there is ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION. She hasn't called back or emailed and now I want my deposit back and I can't get a hold of them. I had to completely move my wedding to another venue and since I live in a small town I will have to have my wedding and reception 5 miles apart so you can imagine how stressful it is to change venues 3 weeks before a wedding. I still need my deposit though so I will continue to bother them about it. Their deposits aren't a measly $100 but $400!! I need it back! If you are planning to do business with these people I would advise you to find a better and more proffesionaly operated place to have your event or stay. Good luck!
