Pros: Upon arrival, the service was very friendly and professional...Dinah especially directed us to a great place to eat. The Lobby looked nice and updated.
Cons: The room and the hotel itself, however, was a disaster! The stairwell smelled of urine...the ground level door lock to the stairwell was busted, so anyone off the street could enter. As we walked to the room on the third floor, there were sinking holes underneath the carpet. The walls were scuffed up and dirty throughout the hotel and in the room. The room decor was outdated along with the t.v; old school television. Although the bed linens were cute, the king bed duvet had stains on it and the pull out bed was uncomfortable (I've stayed on comfy one's so it is possible) and the sheets were double or queen for the twin mattress, so they did not fit.
The tiles on the bathroom floor were broken/cracked and shifted when you walked on them. The shower itself was dirty with hard water stains on the fixture.
At 2:00 a.m...I went down and requested another room w/o a pullout bed. The clerk gave me a key to a room down the hall that smelled like smoke, so he gave me another room next door that was better only because it had two double beds instead of a King and a pullout. Same deal with broken tiles in the bathroom and dirty shower...only this room also had a broken wall light (I even switched bulbs, so it was actually broken)
The pool was freezing in 90 degree weather...I couldn't get in let alone my 1 year old and 4 year old. It was also filthy as if it hadn't been filtered in weeks. The hot tub room was also gross...the floor was sticky and dirty.
The breakfast was actually pretty good, but after looking into the room where it was prepared...it was much less appetizing.
I would never stay at this hotel again and actually made the comment that, from now on, I will only check-in to a hotel after I've examined the rooms, pool, etc.
