“Great for the fishermen and hunters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011 via mobile

I have been staying at Hunts Castle for about 10 years. I usually stay there at least 3 times a year with my hunting buddies. They accommodate us very well. We have ran many blast and cast fellowshiping events with as many as 50 hunters. They welcome us as well as our dogs. The kids love the lighted fishing pier. We have never had a problem there. The hotel is central for the places we hunt. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a place to stay that is economical and friendly.

“This place is a DUMP”

roaches and other insects in handicap suite 109, bath towels so old, they are extremely thin and rough, power outlet next to sofa has no cover (that's right, exposed wiring) air conditioning unit makes so much noise it's like being next to a race track, shower curtain is full of mildew/mold, water leaks in kitchen and bathroom, hand held shower head is hung on shower wall with a shower curtain hook, drapes full of holes and rips and hanging off rods. The owner is cheap and a tightwad. We won't come back anymore, and we've been coming here for about 7 years. You have this beautiful location and a fantastic view, but you really don't care about your guests, when you choose to not take care of your hotel.........WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT THIS PLACE IS..........

My wife and I sayed here on september 21 thru the 25. This place is great we had room 208 on the second floor and it was HUGE, and the A/C kept us nice and cold, the room was clean. Ravi is in the office at night and he is super cool and the lady in the mornig is really sweet just didn't catch her name(sorry) but all in all don't stay anywhere else but here you will be inpressed by it. Also if you fish make sure you try the peir at night under the lights twoards the end. A long walk down the pier but well worth it. All in all this place is the best.

“WHAT A CRYING SHAME!”

Fine location -- but horrible hotel. The owner spends money on externals (which help to attract customers), but behind the facade this place is a train wreck. Leaky pipes, broken appliances, decrepit furniture. Housekeeping is virtually nonexistent. Dust and grime everywhere. Some employees work hard and do their best, but they too are victims of cheesy and incompetent management.

“GREAT PLACE TO STAY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

My husband and I recently decided to make a trip to Rockport, Tx. After reviewing several places online we decided to stay at Hunt's Castle Hotel. We were staying in the room next to the office and were very impressed. The bathroom was beautiful with the marble floors and shower. My husband said the bed was just like home, very comfortable. When we noticed there was not a coffee pot, we notified the office and it was brought right over. Our room was right outside the swimming pool and hot tub. We were not disturbed by anyone around us except the children that were upstairs. They were pretty noisy unitl about 9:00 pm. It sounded like they were stomping around. The fishing pier is lighted and an enjoyment to be out on at night. We didn't catch very many fish but I believe it was because it had been so hot. I will recommend this hotel to friends and we will be back again. We also took our little chihuahua and she was very much at home there. The only issue I had was that the carpet needs to be cleaned and the floors need to be mopped a little better because after walking around bare foot inside my feet were very dirty.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the waterfront are the best and the ones with the kitchen are large enough to make...
