This hotel is aged, but it was clean, easy to find and was directly across from the marina and Rockpot Beach. It is very near to the downtown shopping district. I was impressed at the room for the price.

I stayed one night in Rockport, Texas on my way to Port Aransas. I stumbled on to the Days Inn without knowing anything about the motel. It was an excellent discovery. The rates were reasonable, the location was ideal (located at Hwy 35 and Laurel, just across from the Marina and a couple of blocks from Rockport Beach) The proprietor was a friendly and helpful person. My room was nothing fancy, but it was clean, quiet, and suited my needs perfectly - it had cable TV, a bathtub and shower, and free wireless internet for my laptop. I was able to drive quickly to local attractions I wanted to visit - the big oak tree at Goose Island Park, a couple of restaurants I had read about, the local cinema where I went to a movie. And the motel swimming pool was a welcome refreshment in the evening. I will definitely stay at this Days Inn motel again on my next visit to Rockport!

will never ever go back to DAYS INN at Rockport TX. I was very upset that the room looked like from the 70's and not was shown on the web page room view. I was very upset that the room smelled and looked filthy. Bathroom was dirty and always short 1 set of towels everyday of our stay. I know you get what you pay for but... when you pay 85.00 a night and free breakfast is mentioned not worth it!!!! I was going to sign up for the Rewards program but if this what the WYNDOM has to offer never mind. Oh did I mention that the beds were disgusting with stains on the side of the matresses. Trash not cleaned out from back of headboard area.

Ended up staying here after an overbooking snafu at the Surfside Inn. To say this place is a disappointment compared to Surfside is the understatement of the year. Old & Stinky with crummy parking to boot. The worst part was that they charged us the same rate as the Surfside since they were the ones that sent us there on an overflow basis. There were no options since this appeared to be the last room in town on a holiday weekend and it was late at night. Felt like a classic bait & switch.

Needless to say I cannot recommend Days Inn or the booking agent (Hotelsnotcom) who did nothing to help us rectify this situation. Surfside??? well they didn't leave us on the street, but a phone callprior to our arrival to let us know there was a problem sure would have been nice.
