After refusing a very small room for big bucks at Holiday Inn Richardson TX, we found Hawthorn Suites around the corner, for much less money and with much more room. We had a full kitchenette with microwave and fridge, a large loungeroom and a comfortable bed with a clean roomy bathroom. Breakfast was included as was a light dinner (Mon -Thursday) and wifi and parking was free. We had 3 days here and ended up saving over $200 on the cost of the holiday Inn for the same period. Richardson is close to large shopping centres and a 20 min drive into Dallas downtown.

The first room was okay at first glance. The second floor bedroom had no air conditioner nd the ice maker didnt work, and the toilet seat almost slide me to the floor. So the next morning we were moved to another room. Again it was okay at first glance. The ice makd in the refrigrator did not work again and this time there were no dishes.one 3 quart pot and a frying pan. It was supposed to be a non smoking room but it was full of smoke. Old smoke in the drapes and on the old furniture (one love seat with a tear on the arm). The Hispanic clean up crew was lazy and didn't speak or read English. I wonder how they got thier jobs. The people next to our room cooked every day using curry, tumeric and all of the other spices o the west and they made my husband's eyes and face burn. The office staff was nice enough but they lie when they sat they will send someone to put a pipe in the freezer to make ice. We had to go to the office if we wanted ice; by the time we got back to the roomwith the ice it had started to melt so we would have to break it up by beating it with the frying pan for there were no kitchen tools tere to use. Will I stay here again ==doubt it

I stayed at this property on October 1-October 3, 2011. The pictures are very miss leading. When I arrived the room was not clean. Dirty towels were left for us to pick up. The amenties that this hotel says it has is a lie. The Pictures look good. Holes in the furniture, no hot water,, dirty dishes, cups, plates, no wi-fi. I found out this use to be a apartment complex. And the owners turned it into a hotel. And put the Wynham name on it. This place is a bad relection for Wynham hotels every where. No iron. I put sheets on the furniture because it didnt want to sit on it. Thats how bad this place is. The buffet breakfast is horrible. Cold eggs, no meat ....... I am sure by now you get the point. Run the other way. And for $100 dollars a night. This place is a joke. Someone should shut it down.

Dead bugs...soilded linens...unhelpful staff. As a person who travels on business on a weekly basis, I didn't think quality and service like this existed in 2011. What a rude awakening I had on this trip. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property. It seems like this property has turned into an "extended stay" property, as my "neighbors" seemed to be congragating outside the buildings. It was very intimidating and felt extremely unsafe. Do youself a favor...spend $10 a night more and stay elsewhere. You will save yourself from a sleepless night and several more nights of nightmares that will follow.
