My boyfriend and I decided to make a last minute trip to port aransas. I spent hours searching the web for the perfect place to stay. I stumbled upon shark reef resort and couldn't have asked for more! they allowed us to bring our 2 very well trained large cattle dogs, the room was fantastic (king size bed suite) and AFFORDABLE. Everyone especially the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. The location was great, close to the beach. We enjoyed taking our dogs on walks each night to the ferry and back. Will definitely be back again!

I had stayed there once in the late seventys and it was a dump but i stopped by chance and was surprised at the renovations made . It was a great place for the money and the staff was friendly and curtious. I would defentily stay there again.

Stayed there because I had no place else to stay. The rates were great and the room was big, clean, and comfortable. I have traveled; stayed in 5 star hotels and slept under trucks in the Sahara desert. I have always found beach communities to be expensive for what you get, hundreds a night for maybe a view of the beach and water. So if you are not worried about a view then this is the place for you. Clean and comfortable. Fish all day or play at the beach and then come back to a great room. There was a hole in the bathroom tile, and I could have cared less. I spent 3 days in Port Aransas for less then 200 bucks. Love the place!!! Love it!!!! Salt of the earth people run the Shark Reef and places like this take care of us who work hard for our dollars.

my husband, sister and brother-in-law come to Port A every 3 months and stay at the Shark Reef, we always have a pleasant experience. We find it very affordable and clean. its a nice place to stay when your fishing and need a place to clean up and go for more fishing! my husband stayed there as a child, they are a landmark there. We will continue to stay here as long as the present owners are in charge!
