We visit Port A every summer for years and have stayed at many different hotels, cottages, condo. Since this trip was a short getaway I decided to stay at Days inn. Staff was friendly. Hotel was very clean and neat in appearance. Room was great. They had nice size refrigerator, and microwave with sink and counter space.
We will visit again.

room was a cheap price. free breakfast. flat screen tv. microwave. refrigerator. nice showers. comforable bed and pillows. cant beat the price. very close to the beach and everything in port aransas. i have stayed here multiple times

This is really what you get. We didn't pay much and the location was great for travelling around the area. The first room was in great condition. It had a little kitchen with small fridge, sink and microwave. As it was a bit cold, we turned on the heater - and it started smoking the room. The guy at the desk seemed unperturbed; he turned off the fire alarm then turned on the heater again, and it was even worse.

The smell was awful; we had to stand outside for some time. He just shrugged and walked away. No offer of another room (mind you, I'd say the motel was only 1/4 full)...so we waited a while then went to ask for another room, which he had no problem to give.

That room wasn't in such good condition with lots of marks on the walls and scorched furniture. We had a 2 night stay and it was okay to sleep, just not to be inside much.

The walls are paper thin as all of these chains, but they put all the people together in a group, so it wasn't very quiet. We were on the 2nd floor and the people below us appeared to be whole families or groups of men/women sharing a room and they looked like they were there long-term.

The breakfast was the same bad-for-you carb overload in packages (or the ubiquitous high sugar waffle set up) but kudos to these guys for offering fruit and not putting large signs on the milk requiring use for cereal only. Only problem was breakfast ended around 9 and on a weekend, a later time would have been nice.

For the cost, it was okay. I'd stay here again only if other accommodations were so much more, or look at something closer to Corpus Christi.

This Days Inn has a great location; right on the main highway. Wide driveways & ample parking for trailered boats & campers. My basic-rate room was spacious & clean, with a Coffeemaker, Microwave, & TWO Refrigerators; one small & one large. The Breakfast Buffet was fine. The Motel Staff were always courteous & friendly. Not fancy, but this Days Inn had everything I needed. I'll be back.
