We have been here b4 as a last resort. We always seem to get the crappy rooms. This time we actually got to rent the rock cottage in front, it was well maintained compared to the back rooms. The only complaints I have would be $155 a night is alot for these rooms, and management complained to me about some other renter and her actions. The electricity to the t.v. was off in the morning, and for 3 boys cartoons in the morning are a must :(

Brought a dog: No problem, no extra charge.
Paid for seven days, decided to stay two additional: They threw them in free.
Clean rooms. Very reasonable price. Very close to beach.
We will definitely go back.

We took our friends & family to Port Aransas for a 4th of July 2010 to remember. Everything was wonderful except for the rude motel manager - he wouldn't give us towels, toilet paper, no room service & roaches everywhere. When returning our keys to him @ the end of our trip he yelled and screamed at us, stating that we didn't tell him we were bringing children and he insisted that we pay an additional $115.00 dollars. Told us we were bad Americans (liars) and he would call the police if we didn't pay up. I read the reviews before we went and thought nothing of them. Take my advice....... DO NOT STAY AT Rock Cottage!!!! We could have stayed at a classy Hotel for what it ended up costing us to stay @ this rude, dump. I'm proud to be a good American,

WHERE TO START! First i want to say i should have read all the reviews and im terribly sorry i didnt! When i first called to make reservation the managers in the background were yelling in the background at the young girl on the phone with me because she forgot to inform me of the cancellation policy which is that they can charge your card for the room rate if you cancel at anytime! I had asked the Female mgr if she was going to run my card cause i wanted to pay in cash she said no she was just going to authorize it but i could pay in cash when i got there! When i arrived they sold my room cause my card declined at 1pm when i tried to ck in at 3pm it was gone! i was upset cause me and my kids had no where to stay on july 4th weekend! when i told her i would be writting this review and letting the bbb know she shrugged her shoulders like she didnt care! As i walked out the door she screamed at me telling me how it was my mistake and not hers! as i walked out her and her husband followed me to my car and kept yelling at me telling me i was a drug addict! the Female manager said and i quote " YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DI@% TO F@#K" Whatever that means??? anyways i left in tears cause i was all alone and they were very intimidating i thought for a second they were going to get phySical! I FEARED FOR MY SAFETY!!! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!
