I love staying here so fun and peaceful even had my grandma with us this trip and she enjoyed the friendliness of this place too... Very close to beach and shops.. I usually stay in the themed rooms but couldn't this trip since we had the whole family I loved our ground level room comfy and clean can't wait to visit again!!! Thank you Nero f:)

I had a reservation at this place. Long before the trip I recieved very bad information from the locals and cancelled the reservation. Therefore I cannot comment on the rooms or service. But I can say that other visitors in the parking lot described the same unsafe and noisy conditions we had heard previously. We also were witness to a filthy pool and a lot of garbage. Therefore we declined the "Free Weekend" that Nero offered to prove that the rumours were wrong when we attempted to cancel. In all fairness, that was a good business move. But we had no interest in staying in those conditions.
Then we got the back lash. We were fraudulently charged $100 on our credit card and they refused to refund even though we cancelled 6 months in advance. We had the cancellation policy in writing from the internet in Nero's own words that state the reservation is $25 and is refundabe 7 days prior. We found many, many complaints of this happening to others. Some had violated the 7 day policy. But most had not. Our credit card company advised us to NEVER book into a hotel that automatically charges a fee to your account before you even get there, it is an indication of something fishy.
We went thru a lot of trouble to get our money refunded and would not advise that anyone post a credit card to this place of business. We never recieved any type of confirmation of reservation nor did we get any notice that charges were being made to our account. Nero told me we would be charged when we checked in. That is not what happened at all.
Good news is that we found a much nicer condo for the same price who does not charge any unauthorized reservation fees until your date of occupancy. There are no condoms or chicken bones next to the pool and the employees do not get in fist fights in the parking lot in the middle of the night.
Nero tends to lean on the good reviews he has as a back up against the bad ones. Perhaps those are the visitirs who left you all the condoms at the pool? In any case, if that is their idea of a good time, then feel free to be proud of your business. If you are looking for a little less excitement and not getting ripped off for $100, then go elsewhere.

We had another hotel, got in at 10:45 pm & they said the pool was closed. We were on vacation with our 3 young boys, I did not want to spend our 1st night watching TV. I started calling places with NO luck. About 10 minutes later I got a phone call. It was Nero from the Port Aransas Inn. I did not know him & he did not know me, but once I told him our situation, he said he had a room & to come on over. Then we had to called him because we weren't sure how to get there & he stayed on the phone with us the whole time & when he saw our car he waved us down with the light from his cellphone. That was just the 1st 10 minutes of us talking to him. He was very sweet & helpful. We loved the room & we especially loved their pool. It was decorated & had a very cozy feel. It was minutes from the beach, literally! We had such a great stay. We have raved about this place to all of my friends & family since we got home. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I stayed in the Safari room this past weekend, and we enjoyed it very much. Since we went during the week, we pretty much had the hotel to ourselves. Everyone else was very quiet and we managed to have a very restful trip. The manager, Nero, is a very nice guy who would probably give you the shirt off his back to make you happy. The room was very cozy and clean, and we are already planning our next trip!
