This hotel operator is a crook, He does not care, advertises one price and charges you more when you get there, rooms stink, they are dirty and ran down. When I seen the room i told him I would not stay and give me back my moneyback that I just paid him 5 minutes earlier, he told me no I would have to contest on my credit card, I was told if i dont like it leave.

We had traveled 8 and half hours to get to plano and it was I think 2 am in the morning when we arrived at the hotel. I went in and asked how much the rooms go for and he said 69.99 a night for a king non smoking. I went outside to tell my husband who was waiting in the car the rate and the clerk came outside and ask how much I was willing to pay. I went back inside and he told me that the best he could do was 65.00 so tired already I agreed. I gave him 65.00 cash first mistake. He told me it was going to be 73.50, so I gave 80 cash second mistake. Well he gives the keys and 5.50 change I had to ask for a receipt and I looked at it not looking a the price but at the room details. It was a queen and smoking. Tired like I was grateful for the discount and got my bags out of the car and went to the room. Well in the morning my husband looks at the receipt and he asked me how much the rooms was I said 73 something. He said the room was only 63 with tax and everyhting. I was hot so went to the front desk and told them what happened and they told they would get a hold of the night clerk and get back to me. Well I call back and talk to the manger sunny or sammy not sure and he tells me he doesn't know to who to believe and never got a refund. So DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!

We had the "audacity" to take our breakfast back to our room this morning (Which Super 8 corporate informed me later was perfectly acceptable). An employee stopped me, screamed at me that it wasn't allowed (you would think at $65 a night for that crappy hotel they could surely vacuum up crumbs), screamed at me that I was "shoplifting" and threatened to call the police. Then he PHYSICALLY TOOK AWAY one plate of the breakfast for my family (note that I wasn't hogging - I had 4 bowls of cereal and 4 small cupcakes for 4 people).I was also comforted by him informing me that "People like me are the reason we have problems with roaches" Nice. I told him that I wanted to speak to the manager and he said he is the manager and in fact the owner. So I told him that I would call Super 8 and he said go ahead -- he doesn't work for them they work for him.

I am not the kind of person who gets into altercations with people - I can count on 1hand the amount of arguments I have had with people so I was shocked at his behavior. It was the kind of thing I expect from a 3 year old.

Prior to this incident I heard him screaming on the phone to an employee something about her having to put her work first not her family and she better come in which I also thought was inappropriate to hear as I was walking past the front desk. A hotel stay is supposed to be relaxing. You aren't supposed to have to listen to their problems. And the poor girl who works for him!

I have stayed at the Super 8 in Plano, TX at least 15+ times since March. I have been working in the DFW area and when I stay in the same city I like to find a hotel to set up shop. They have just recarpeted the hotel and I have never encountered any rude staff. Sure there are some college age kids that run the desk at night and they might be a little more concerned with their iphone then being in hurry but not rude. They have a ton of channels to watch (including the Golf Channel). Bathrooms are clean and have good pressure, room 220 is a great room. There are a ton of restaurants nearby including a mall. Its easy to get on and off the highway. I read the bad reviews and I disagree with them. Chalk them up to having an off night at the hotel. It is a very nice place to stay.
