This property is typical of the Homewood chain of Hotels; Well located to the area you want to be located by, nearby conveniences, and quiet, comfortable rooms. I was not disappointed when I checked into the Homewood in Plano. This property is located very near to a freeway exit (And in Texas almost every road feels like a freeway). Even with construction at DFW, commute time was about 23 minutes from airport to Hotel. Be aware that the Hotel is a block or so removed from the main street, and the street sign is small for Old Shepards Place.
Check in was quick, the property was a classic Homewood Square shape, and in a jiffy I was into my room on the 3rd floor.
The room was standard Homewood layout; Spacious, clean, 2 bedroom suite, and ready for sleep or work or even cooking a quick meal in the kitchenette as you saw fit. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a tub/shower and separate vanity area.
The bed was king size and comfortable.
It's proximity was near the many Business Park corporate locations in Plano, my destination, and it was ideally located for the 10 minute commute in morning traffic.
Restaurants abounded nearby, as were grocery stores and fast food locations.
The hotel had a small work out room with a few pieces of equipment. All were new and functional.
Breakfast and Managers reception (Snacks and Drinks) were held in the lobby area, both of a solid Homewood fare. As is usual with the Homewood Chain, do not expect an onsite restaurant.

For business travel when in the area again, I would have no problem with booking this property, as it delivers on the Homewood promise of top level consistency .

Perfect for a business trip in the north Dallas area. Good room, good (free) breakfast, pool, free beer in the evening. Close to hundreds of restaurants.

had to stay at the hotel for about a month and the staff yet very busy was able to assist me in anyway possible. this was the 2nd time i stayed at this hotel and will definately stay again. it is great for business travellers.

Ok, first you have to take into account that when I say it is average, I am comparing it to other Homewood Suites, because most HS's are far better for an extended stay than most hotels. It also was average-not bad-I mean it really is acceptable. It is just a little older than I prefer, and the room that I had was a little small and noisy. You could easily hear noise from the halls, and from neighboring rooms. Nothing unusual for a hotel ( I spend almost half of the year in various hotels), but again-average. The look of the place is average. The staff was pretty good, so that is a plus. The breakfast and reception were both very good. Everything was is functional order, but I only had wired internet , and it was was pretty slow. Overall, not bad, but I probably would only stay there if there was nothing better available, for a decent price (common occurance in the Dallas area, so I might be back sooner than I'd wish.)
