I stayed at this hotel in October 2011 and purchased breakfast with my room at a discounted rate. When I went to their small cafe in the lobby to have breakfast I was told it was not included with my room, they did not have my room number on the list. I confirmed that I had purchased the stay for breakfast on my confirmation and showed it to Adam who said he was the Manager of the cafe. He still refused to provide breakfast without charging me. I noticed someone else had the same problems and that encouraged me to post too. I think they need to terminate Adam before all of there customers terminate them.

Needless to say, the do not honor this. I called Marriott customer service and received no help at all. The lady said that I had purchased the stay for breakfast and they should give it to me, but that is all she did.

The hotel has remodeled its lobby and it looks nice. The beds are HARD and rooms have a cold feeling. There courtyard is the same as all courtyards, nothing special.

You should consider another hotel when traveling in Dallas / Plano.

As a Platinum member at Marriott I have stayed over 250 nights at various Marriott brand hotels during the past 12 months. I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights with the stay for breakfast offer. Our first morning we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel for now charge. The second morning we were told that only one of the rooms had the "stay for breakfast" included. After debating the issue with hotel staff and Adam who is so proud to advise me that he is the Manager of their restaurant. Adam denied the free breakfast - even after we had paid EXTRA for it with our room.

I contacted Marriott Platinum customer no service where a man put me on hold for 9 min. and returned to the phone line to advise that I had paid for breakfast and they were willing to give it to me now....now that we had left the hotel and were sitting at a restaurant. Paying for our breakfast, a second time.

Next, the morning we were checking out I learned the hotel had billed me for the breakfast that we enjoyed the first morning. So much for it being included with the "Stay for Breakfast" deal that we booked.

Needless to say, this hotel is practices Bait and Switch techniques. Do yourself a favor and not stay at this hotel

Goodbye Marriott and Hello Hilton.

I've stayed at this hotel now a couple of times because it is priced okay and near my company's office in Plano. I like to stay at Marriotts because they treat frequent stayers well. The front desk staff has been courteous. Good deals on beer and spirits at the bar. The hotel has adequate accommodations, and large, flat screen TVs in the rooms.
Nothing really stands out here as being 5-star. I may stay at the nearby A-Loft next time because it is similarly priced, and some of my collegues said that's a nice place.
One thing to watch out for is predatory taxi drivers here. Make SURE you know the price in advance. If the meter isn't running, there is a reason for that, they are about to charge you more than normal for the ride. This makes for a very heated and unfun "conversation" at the airport, where both parties are arguing that they are being ripped off. I only made that mistake once, but the situation came up again during another stay.
I will probably stay here again, but more likely, I'll give the nearby A-Loft a try.

Note to management: Just because you put in a flat screen and remodel the lobby area does not insure your guests wil have a pleasurable stay...

My room smelled like must and mildew, the bathtub ran all night, towels smelled like like they had previously been used for cleaning, and there were wasps in my room....this by far tops the worst hotel experience I have ever had, 3 star hotel, please turn in your badge.
