Upon check-in the evening clerk (5pm) was abrupt and somewhat rude. I had requested a first floor room due to health reasons in my reservation and they had me set in a second floor room. I was moved to a first floor room but it was filthy. The carpets were stained, there were multiple stains on the ceiling, the closet door was broken and the curtains had holes in them. But that wasn't the worst of it. There was mold everywhere in the bathroom and dressing area and several places in the main sleeping area. The towels were dingy and not white like they were supposed to be. But absolutely the most disgusting thing was the bathtub. The shower curtain was black from about halfway down, there were "spitballs" on the ceiling and the showerhead was about to fall off the wall. I even found blood splattered on the wall behind the bathroom door. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Obviously housekeeping is lacking. I left at 10am the next morning and didn't see one housekeeper or housekeeping cart on the property. This was all unacceptable to me, especially since I used to manage a hotel. If my hotel had looked, smelled and had staff like this one it would not have been in operation. In general if I could give this hotel a negative number for a score I would. This hotel needs a total remodel and reorganization. There were drug deals going down and prostitutes hanging around when I returned after going to Billy Bob's for a concert. I wasn't expecting a Hilton or Marriott for the price but I was expecting clean.
