I stayed with my husband and another couple the weekend of May 13th in cabin 3A at Rio Raft. It was perfect! Price is right, staff is friendly, convenient escort to the river to float, everything you may have forgotten can be found at the property store, beautiful view of the river from the cottage, perfect size cottage for 4! We will be back!

Despite all of the negative reviews, we decided to rent a 2-bedroom cottage here for our anniversary weekend. We took another couple also. The resort was in a good central location, and the river was beautiful and very peaceful. (Great Fishing spot). The resort looks just like the pics on the website. Nothing fancy, but definitely very clean and provides all the basic necessities. (I will upload some inside pics...b/c I was unable to find any before my stay).

**Office Staff** We were particularly worried about receiving bad customer service after reading the other reviews....however, this was NOT the case. We were treated very nicely, the entire time. We spotted the security guard on the golf cart once, but he never bothered us.

Overall, this is a nice peaceful spot for couples, or even families. I would definitely stay here again.

If you want to stay on the beautiful Guadalupe River and be near all the atractions that the Hill Country has to offer, stay at Rio Raft. The staff will help you with everything you need to make your stay fun. Rafting, tubing or just relaxing with the beauty of the hill country all around you is in store at The Resort. Close is New Braunfels, where in the fall has Wurstfest Celebration, Gruene has shopping and the oldest dance hall in Texas, and there are many winerys in the area. Any time of year is good at Rio Raft.. Experience all the seasons the hill country has to offer at this resort.

We have stayed here about 5 times. We have always liked it because its close to our home and other convienences. But I dont believe we will be back. Our concerns are equal to those that have already posted. The lady in the office was rude and the "security person" in his golf cart, which drives faster that 5 MPH, was just a jerk. Our ages are 55 to 67 and we were treated like 15 to 17. They have no respect for their customers and watch them as if they are going to steal something. They claim to be "family Oriented", but the "security staff's" wife, hollered obscenities to someone who was driving a little too fast???? They claim to have "WiFi" , ha, if you can find it. When asked about it at the office, she just laughed and said, yeah some times it works and sometimes it doesnt. Just move around the park! Yeah, I can see that one. They decided to pack the roads with a "rolling Machine" that vibrated the entire camp grounds for 8 hours straight. Loud and so annoying!! BUT at 11:30 pm, when there were 5 RV's there, and we might have been driving 8 MPH, he chose to drive over to our site and chew us out for driving over 5 MPH. Obviously there has been a change in management to the worst because it hadnt been that way in the past. You would think in times of econimic destress, you would have better customer service.
